The indexation of files is enabled by default with Windows to make faster searching files when you search the hard drive on your PC.

With Windows XP, Seven, Vista, Windows8 ... the indexing of files on the hard drives is one of the reasons most figured on decreasing performance of a hard drive.

 

 It is necessary to disable the indexing of files to improve the performance of the hard drive.
To disable this, here is a simple step to take

  • Right-click on the partition of the hard drive on your PC (C: or D: ....)
  • Then choose property

  • In the window of the property, uncheck: allow content indexing files on this drive in addition to file properties

If another confirmation message appears, select the option: select Apply changes to C: \ and all subfolders and files, press OK to confirm.

Done again the same action for other partitions or hard drives on your PC, and you see that after some minute the performance of hard drive on your computer is increase performance.{jcomments on}
